Types of Membership

 There are two kinds of members of Sindnet: Permanent and Associate.

The agreed criteria for Permanent Membership are:

  • The applicant should be either a founder member or be given membership after mutual consensus (as in the case of IUCN)
  • The applicant should be a support institution
  • Should pay the annual fee 
  • The newly constituted rule of business, (applicable both to permanent & associate members) state that: 
  • If an organization applying for Sindnet’s membership has branch offices as well, only the office that has applied for registration (and not the whole organization) will be granted membership.
  • Membership can be requested by an organization or one or two members of Sindnet
  • The decision to grant membership shall be taken within two meetings
  • No action of any of the members should have a negative impact on Sindnet 
  • The criteria for Associate Membership are:
  • The applicant should be a support institution
  • The applicant should be working/operating at the provincial level
  • Its overall credibility/performance should be evaluated
  • Associate Members may become Permanent Members if they fulfill the following conditions:
  • Associate membership for a minimum duration of one year
  • Regular attendance in meeting
  • Payment of fee
  • Mutual consensus of permanent members
  • The approval process would be expedited after the completion of 12 months as associate member.
  •  Members are liable to be extradited from the Sindnet if:
  • They fail to pay the fee which latest by March every year
  • Any action of their has a negative impact on Sindnet
  • They fail to attend three consecutive meetings.
